Everything that you have read about this item is true. The soda maker works fine, the flavors are good if not better that a "coke" product. Right now I am waiting on a replacement chip for the CO meter which has been an ongoing problem with this product. Sodastream should provide a manual for this unit either as a download or sent with it. There are small labels that for me at least are hidden and only discovered while cleaning the maker. To date I have made 25 liters of soda at a cost of $0.40 each (this does not include cost of equipment). I drink about 1.5 liters daily and I estimate that I save about $800.00 annually. My equipment cost is about $260.00 including taxes. I would highly recommend this unit to all of my friends,

Purchased today at Macys - $149. Got it home, and alas, the display showing a full cartridge of CO2 is working, but the arrow showing fizz level in water is not working - I have read at least 15 other peoples reviews saying same exact thing. I am not sure if im going to return it or not - I really like the whole concept and the flavors are very good. I still think its a great product but I do not think its worth $149, especially because its plastic and there are no mechanical parts - the first time they put in a display, its a failure. However, if I do return this model, I will get another sodastream, just without the so-called fizz meter.
