The instructions that came with this product were less than instructive. No more information on the website. I had to figure out a lot of things for myself. Product works well, once you figure everything out. Be aware that even purchased locally, the cartridge refills cost about 90 cents each and only make one liter of seltzer. Around here you can buy seltzer by the bottle for about half that.

I always wanted a soda siphon for my bar, and finally decided to get one. This thing works great! I followed all the recommendations on preparation from other reviews, and had no problem making soda. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because I wish it held more soda. I can get about 4 drinks mixed with one bottle, which is fine for me, but now I started making cherry sodas for my wife and it's just not enough. I'm sure they have a larger one, just wish I made the extra investment!

Although this seltzer bottle makes excellent soda, buyers should be cautioned that the unit I received is not a deep gloss red as shown. Mine was dipped in a thin latex coating (which I find is a good feature) creating a non-slip matte finish that is more of a bright salmon pink than a true fire-engine red color. Had I seen the actual color on the shelf of my local kitchen supply store I probably wouldn't have bought it, but since I'm one of those people who are more about function than fashion I'm not going to bother returning it to Amazon.
