I was buying the Whip-It brand chargers from Amazon before the price went up, and then decided to try these.With the shipping, of course, these are about 51 dollars for 100, or 51 cents/cartridge, so they're cheaper than I was paying before. They come as 10 boxes of 10, which is easier to deal with than I was expecting (I was thinking it was a box of 100).It seems to me that they're different from the Whip-It chargers, but I can't put my finger on exactly how. Is it possible that there's less gas in these? That seems unlikely. Or different impurities that impart a different flavor?(I have no sense at the moment of one being "better" or "worse" than the other at the moment. They both work fine. I'm just trying to figure this out.)These are made in Hungary, FWIW. They are 8g cartridges. (The Whip-Its are made in Taiwan, also 8g, though I'm guessing all for soda chargers are.) Looking at the boxes, there's a lot more information on these, which makes me like them better, such as: Carbon Dioxide Gas 99.95% min Air (Atmospheric) trace Water Content <100ppm Triple Filtered <40 microns Gas Pressure @70F 738psiand "The CO2 gas used in this product is natural and does not contain any additives."There's no comparable information on the Whip-it box.So, while I am still largely in ignorance of what makes a good charger cartridge, I like these better than the Whip-Its I was buying before for the greater information (and apparent goodness).Update, September 2010: I have reordered and received the same product as the first time. Just want to mention this after reading another review. Yes, the boxes are taped shut, presumably for shipping.

I recently ordered 100 Leland Soda Chargers from Redrock Distributing (Product Features: 10 boxes of 10 8 gram Chargers; Triple Filtered 99.95% pure CO2) but am dismayed to find I've been sent 1 *OPENED AND RETAPED* box of 10 Leland Mr. Fizz Seltzer Chargers (as pictured) and 30 boxes of "3 CO2 Cartridges".The print on the front of these generic boxes is:*Universal Fit*8 Gram Charge*Safety Weld Closure*Food & Beverage QualityThis is NOT what I ordered. These generic cartridges may well be just as good as the Leland but if there will be product substituted, this should be clearly stated on their page. Not only did they Falsely Advertise their product, I suspect they also filled the one Leland Mr. Fizz Charger box with the generic cartridges. Why else would the original seal have been broken, and then resealed with scotch tape?I will be lodging a formal complaint with Amazon.*I will add photos to the customer photo section.
