I followed the enclosed directions and easily assembled the maker but I ended up spritzing several ounces of water during the first charging. Afterwards, I watched demonstrations that were on YouTube and realized I had significantly overcharged the first bottle. I deducted one star based on the instructions. Everything else worked including the Fizz meter. I definitely had high fizz as indicated. My first bottle was Diet Dr. Pete (lol). It was very acceptable. I'm keeping my soda maker and can't wait to make some of the more exotic flavors.

I am very pleased with my Sodastream. Instructions were clear. Machine works as expected. I have read reviews and seen that some people are not happy with theirs but I have to say that I am in no way disappointed with my soda maker. I have to pay attention to whether the bottle carbonation gage works, but I was more concerned about the co2 cylinder gage. I love it, thats all I can say at this point.

Just like on TV.....you can't tell the difference between SodaStream soda and the store-bought soda. A lot less mess. No cans, bottles or other trash to throw away. We love it.
